Brandy Logue

Brandy’s love of dance was sparked when her mother taught her how to do the “Smurf” when she was five years old. As a child of the 1980’s Brandy’s love of music and dance continued to be fueled by an introduction to rap music and break-dance. Countless hours of watching music videos and films such as Beat Street and Breakin’ helped Brandy to hone her dance skills and with much practice at her high schools dances and her mom’s house parties Brandy gained confidence as a Hip Hop dancer. Although she has taken jazz and ballet to help her develop strength as a dancer, Brandy’s heart has always belonged to Hip Hop. After moving to San Francisco in 1995 Brandy began to take Hip Hop dance classes from numerous instructors including Micaya. Brandy put dance on hold while attending school to become a registered nurse, but has now returned with a renewed love and dedication to the art form.
